Patrick Low Chee Keong is an intellectual property practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in handling IP advisory and protection matters in Malaysia and internationally. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Business Law, which further strengthens his legal and commercial understanding in the field of intellectual property. As one of the founders and chief executive officers of IPMAN Global Intellect Group, he has worked with a wide range of clients, including SMEs and public listed companies, in managing and protecting their IP.

His main areas of work include IP strategy and IP enforcement. Over the years, he has also developed a growing focus on IP valuation, where he applies both legal knowledge and financial understanding to manage the value of intangible assets.

He has attended various training programs and courses conducted by organizations such as WIPO and IPOS, including the WIPO with MOIP masterclass on IP valuation and finance. These experiences have provided him with broader exposure to international IP practices and valuation approaches.

He was also actively involved in the IP community through organizations such as the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA), where he had contributed to committee work and activities related to IP awareness and Brands & Innovation. He has also been recognized as a World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 Recommended Individual for a couple years, reflecting his professional standing and contribution in the field of trademark practice.

IP VALUER ACHIEVEMENT

Patrick Low’s journey in intellectual property valuation reflects a continuous learning approach and commitment to professional development. He is currently serving as MYIPO IP valuer which certified by the Association for Management and Valuation of Intangibles (AMAVI), further strengthening his technical capabilities in valuation methodologies and financial analysis of intangible assets.

He was also honoured to be selected for the WIPO with MOIP masterclass on IP valuation and finance, a specialized program that brings together global experts to explore advanced valuation concepts and commercialization strategies.

Earlier in his career, he obtained certification as a Certified Patent Valuation Analyst and completed various IP valuation and licensing courses from institutions such as IPOPHIL and IPOS, which laid the foundation for his valuation practice.

While his primary professional recognition has been in IP advisory, including multiple international awards and rankings, these achievements also reflect his broader contribution to the IP field, including valuation related advisory work.

He approaches IP valuation with a practical and client focused mindset, aiming to provide meaningful insights that support business decision-making, commercialization, and strategic growth. He remains committed to further developing his expertise in this evolving area.
