Dr. Asugan is a Certified Intellectual Property Valuer (CIPV) accredited by MyIPO Malaysia and AMAVI France. He is trained across a wide range of valuation methodologies covering patents, trademarks, copyright, trade secrets, and industrial designs, applying internationally recognised income-based and royalty-based valuation approaches.
His valuation work is further strengthened by his practical leadership in global licensing and digital revenue environments, enabling him to deliver defensible and commercially grounded valuation opinions.
He serves as Hon. Secretary of the Licensing Executive Society Malaysia (LESM) - Society for IP Lawyers & Practitioners, and is a Committee Member of the Licensing Executive Society International (LESI) under the Copyright Licensing Committee. He is also a member of the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA), contributing actively to the advancement of intellectual property commercialisation standards both regionally and internationally.
