Ahmad Zubir Zahid (“Zubir”) is the Managing Partner of Value Advisors PLT, a valuation and litigation support services firm. With close to three decades of professional experience, Zubir has become a trusted authority in the field of intangible asset valuation, specialising in business valuation and intellectual property (“IP”) valuation. He is renowned for delivering insightful, actionable valuation solutions that help clients unlock the true value of their IP assets for strategic decision-making, investment, and dispute resolution.
Zubir’s client portfolio includes multinational corporations, small and medium sized enterprises, and legal counsel seeking robust, defensible IP valuations. His deep understanding of both valuation and corporate finance ensures that his clients receive high-quality valuation reports, tailored to meet the demands of modern business environments.
Zubir graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Honours) in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol in 1996. Zubir graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2014 and was awarded with a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (Distinction) from the University of London in 2022.
Zubir is a Certified IP Valuer accredited by AMAVI and MyIPO. Zubir is also an Accredited Member (AM) – Business Valuation of the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA”), a Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (“IVAS”), a Business Valuation Specialist with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (“CAANZ”) and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”).
Zubir is also a Chartered Banker (MCBI) of both the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (“AICB”) and the Chartered Banker Institute (“CBI”). He is also a Chartered Fellow (Chartered FCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (“CISI”) and a holder of the Corporate Finance (CF) qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“ICAEW”).
Zubir is a member of the Asia Committee of the International Valuation Standards Council (“IVSC”). IVSC works across global financial markets and is responsible for setting the International Valuation Standards (“IVS”). IVSC works to build confidence in valuation data, helping to de-risk global investment and financial markets in the public interest. IVS covers internationally agreed best practice in the valuation of all asset types, including real property, business valuation, intangible assets (including IP), and financial instruments.
